The New Bern Volleyball Club was formed by former New Bern High School Coach David Cox. Through his efforts, the NBVC morphed into two other local clubs, the Twin Rivers Volleyball Club and the Jacksonville Volleyball Club. Sadly, the Jacksonville Volleyball Club closed its doors in 2009, but the New Bern Volleyball Club is under the direction of Kevin Gould.
